Lift of the Year 2024: Manawa Bay Shopping Centre

Smith Crane and Construction was proud to take home the 2024 New Zealand Crane Association Lift of the Year Award for our Liebherr LR1280 lift at the Manawa Bay Shopping Centre project for Savory Construction. A huge thank you to Jason Bourke and Paul Thornhill for their hard work on this project, making it possible through precise planning, teamwork, and problem-solving.

Brian Perry Civil and SCC also took out the People’s Choice Award for the Kaitoke Pipe Bridge lift, completed using our Favco 96T Tower Crane.

Congratulations to the HEB Construction team for winning the Project of the Year Award for the Manawatū–Tararua Highway – Te Ahu a Turanga Alliance Project, which utilised multiple SCC cranes. Well done to everyone involved in these outstanding projects, and congratulations on the well-deserved wins.
