Blade Installation begins at Kaiwera Downs Stage 2

It’s been a busy start to the year for our team working at Stage 2 of the Mercury Energy Kaiwera Downs Wind Farm project in Gore.

Our Liebherr LTR11200 crawler crane has successfully installed the first set of turbine blades. Once complete, Kaiwera Downs will have a total capacity of 198MW, making it the second-largest wind farm in New Zealand.
